— An Oklahoma man faces a charge of first-degree murder after his girlfriend was killed during a home invasion in western Kansas, authorities said Tuesday.
In addition to the slaying, police said the 31-year-old man also faces a second charge of kidnapping.
The couple, identified as 27-year, 33-year and 33-years-old, were in their Wichita apartment in the 2500 block of South St. Charles Avenue when the men broke into the home, authorities told KTVB-TV.
They found the couple dead on the floor of the apartment, police told the station.
The woman had been stabbed multiple times in the neck, according to police.
Authorities said she had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the back.
Police said the couple were the last people seen alive after the home invasion.
